Hey everyone, back from Indycon! It was really great and I had a ton of fun! Met a lot of interesting people. Thank you for anyone who stopped by, said hi, or bought something! ^^ You were all awesome!
I managed to do a lot of commissions at the actual con, so I only have a few that were take home. Those will be worked on ASAP!
The con was a bit smaller then Anthrocon, and it did throw me for a loop in the beginning, but I still enjoyed going.
I shall be posting up con art very soon!
There's also this awesome giveaway that
is doing and you should go check it out:
$500/40,000 point raffle! (Backup Journal)EDIT2: Okay guys, it has been brought to my attention that DeviantART journals are rumored to cap off at 9,999 comments.. and we are rapidly approaching that mark. In order to prevent a little bit of a panic, I'm implementing something new before the journal caps: a backup journal. This also meant that the original idea of me replying to every single comment with a number will not work, as we're well into nearly 5,000 entries and 7,000 comments thus far. So, the solution is going to be a google docs spreadsheet with all of the entrants and their assigned numbers listed, and a backup place for people to post their entries when this journal has been exhausted of all possible space..assuming we actually hit 9,999! I will do my absolute best to get this up and ready as soon as possible, thank you as always for your patience! As of writing this, we are a mere 8 days before the final day to enter--August 31st! Thank you for participating!
Yea, it's not a giveaway from me. Sorry. But it's still pretty cool for anyone interested!
Also, after I'm done with commissions, I feel like doing a couple art trades.
I'll only be doing three art trades, not requests,
and it'll only be from people who watch me. (I'm not quite sure if anyone who doesn't watch me can EVEN see this journal but it is worth mentioning.)
-single character (bust up)
-first come-first served
but they can be any character, any species, any pose.
I honestly miss doing art trades but I've been trying so hard to make a living, I haven't been able to do them. This con didn't give me as much backstock as I thought so I should get through my take homes pretty quickly. Commissions come first though.
I've also missed seeing interpretations of my characters by other artists. I would love to commission artists but I'm so broke. I'm in the same pickle as them.
So if you think an art trade from me would be worth your time, keep an eye out. EDIT: (8/24/2015) I'm sorry to anyone waiting for a commission. I got a little wrapped up in life issues.
Lots of weird bad stuff has happened this week and it's been a pain to deal with. Car trouble, both my parents got sick, my guinea pig needs to go to the vet again. Yes again!
I have not gotten to commissions yet, BUT I WILL! Very soon!
As for IndyCon, there was a very interesting experience where we needed to show out Tax ID to the Dealer's Den host but my phone decided not to work. So I found a very nice fellow who had a tablet and basically kidnapped him for a good 20 minutes. He was very cool about it but man, did I feel like a dummy.
Otherwise, keep your eyes out for Con pictures and goodies!
